Prince Harry has denied punching Prince Andrew after an argument during a family gathering.

The pair are alleged to have fallen out in 2013 when Andrew said something behind the Duke of Sussex’s back.

Details of the altercation, which is said to have left his uncle with a bloody nose, were published in the book The Rise and Fall of the House of York, written by Andrew Lownie.

However, a spokesperson for Harry denied that the pair had ever had a physical altercation.

Mr Lownie claims that there have been frictions between the uncle and nephew for years.

When Harry announced his marriage to Meghan Markle, he told him it would ‘not last more than a month’ and accused him of not doing ‘any due diligence into her past’.

A spokesman for the Prince Harry said: ‘I can confirm Prince Harry and Prince Andrew have never had a physical fight, nor did Prince Andrew ever make the comments he is alleged to have made about the Duchess of Sussex to Prince Harry.’

It was also alleged that Harry told his brother, Prince William, that he hated the Duke of York, who allegedly made disparaging comments about the Princess of Wales.

As a result, the Prince of Wales has ‘long worked behind the scenes’ to remove Andrew from Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park, where William says he has abused his privilege, according to the Daily Mail.

Andrew’s future at the home he shares with his ex-wife remains uncertain after King Charles put a stop to his £1 million allowance.

A source said: ‘[Prince William] also loathes Sarah, Andrew’s ex-wife, and can’t wait for the day when his father throws them both out. If Charles doesn’t, I guarantee you the first thing William does when he eventually becomes king is to get them evicted.’

As well as his relationship with his two nephews, the book also shines a light on Andrew’s behaviour towards royal servants.

David Anderson, former manager of Hillsborough Castle in Northern Ireland, had the job of telling Andrew a storm had wreaked havoc across the estate – knocking down a tree planted by the Queen Mother.

Andrew is said to have responded angrily for not using his grandmother’s full title, Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother.

It was claimed that Anderson told the Duke he had worked for the royals since 1984. Andrew allegedly responded: ‘And you still don’t know the proper way to refer to my grandmother? You fucking imbecile. Get out.’

His treatment of staff was further highlighted by Colin Burgess, Queen Elizabeth II’s former equerry, who said Andrew spoke to staff ‘as an officer talks to his subordinates’.

Andrew stepped back as a full time royal after his car crash interview on Newsnight in 2019 in which he was quizzed about his relationship with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

His reputation was further battered by claims from Virginia Giuffre that she had been forced to have sex with the duke as a teenager – claims Andrew denies.
